Being undervalued can destroy your confidence in your abilities and hinder your motivation. Plus, if someone else is taking credit, you aren’t being fairly recognized for your role in the company’s success.

2. Your Safety Isn’t a Priority

Feeling safe at work is essential. If you have expressed your concerns about workplace or your personal safety and they have gone ignored, you aren’t being treated fairly at work.

If you are always the last to know about changes that impact your work, and others are fully apprised long before you get wind of the shift in circumstances, there could be an issue of unfairness. This is especially true if not informing you causes you to spend time on assignments that only have to be redone because they don’t align with the change, and the situation could have been avoided through timely communication on someone else’s part.

Ultimately, the four signs above could suggest you are not being treated fairly at work. While you may be able to spur change through proper reporting and diligence, if the issue is pervasive, finding a new opportunity may be a better course of action.
